Encompassing about 5 acres, Alan Shepard beach front park offers easy access to beach activities like, sunbathing, swimming and walking. The park has 10 large picnic pavilions, picnic tables, bathhouse and showers. Sit a relax in the sun at Alan Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach then cool off with a nice saltwater swim. You can also bring your surf fishing rods and give it a whirl. Please be sure to get your license if your from out of state. Surfing is always happening at Alan Shepard Park. And there are places to rent a board if you don't have one.

24 miles of undisturbed beach a bit of a drive, but well worth the vastness of this area. Drive through the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge on your way to Canaveral National Seashore. Many large parking areas are available within the park
