Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge
archie carr turtle Southern boundary is Goldensands Park in Indian River County.
Northern boundary is Coconut Point Park in Brevard County.
Access to the Park is through National, State, County and City Parks between and including the above locations.
Established in 1991 and covering 20½ miles of beaches between Wabasso Beach and Melbourne Beach the refuge is named after Dr. Archie Carr Jr in honor of the extraodinary contributions he made to sea turtle conservation. Surf fishing along the beaches of Archie Carr.
