Big Lagoon State Park offers; Boat ramp.

Fishing of redfish, bluefish, flounder and sea trout seasonally. Crabbing and cast netting for mullet in the lagoon are also popular.

All fishing within the park must conform to regulations concerning size, number, method of capture and season. A fishing license may be required. More information is available at the Florida Wildlife Commission’s Fishing in Florida.

Tarkiln Bayou Preserve State Park

Fishing is permitted with proper licensing in designated areas only. A small sheltered picnic pavilion is available on a first-come, first-served basis adjacent to the Tarkiln Bayou Trail trailhead. An outhouse-style unisex restroom is available at the preserve. Potable water is not available.
